Hole One - Par Four
A straightway par four with a fairway bunker on the left of the landing area. Play your second shot over a cross bunker which is thirty yards in front of the green. A lake and bunkers are to the left and behind the green.Hole Two - Par Four
A very precise hole with a narrow downhill tee shot on a fairway carved through the forest. There is trouble off the tee if you hit left into the water, and the green is completely surrounded by trees and bunkers.Hole Three - Par Three
This hole is a dramatic downhill par three. The green is located in a beautiful stand of mature hardwoods and is surrounded on each side by a large bunker.Hole Four - Par Four
The large lake along the left of this hole shouldn't be a factor off the tee. Approach the green from the right side of the fairway because it's protected on the left by a large, deep bunker.Hole Five - Par Four
The longest par four of the course. A flowing stream and pond protect the right side of the hole. The downhill tee shot and uphill second shot make this hold extremely challenging to par.Hole Six - Par Four
The shortest par four of the course, it is sculpted through the trees and very narrow. There is trouble everywhere. A bunker on the left side protects the lay up. A stream and deep bunker protects the front right side of the green, making for a demanding shot.
Hole Seven - Par Three
The shortest hole, but one of the most dramatic. Tee shots must go over a wide and deep ravine to a small, well bunkered green.Hole Eight - Par Four
Probably one of the most breathtaking and scenic holes on the course. The tee shot plays from about 100 feet above the fairway to a narrow landing area. On the left of green is a natural wetlands and just behind a stand of hardwoods.Hole Nine - Par Five
Uphill all the way. Trees line the entire left side and a stream runs along the right. The green is well protected by two deep bunkers in front and to the right.Hole Ten - Par Four
The stream along the left side leads to two ponds which protect the green on the left and behind. Even though the fairway is wide, the tee shot is difficult. The second shot is a short one to the small green with a bunker both to the front and back.Hole Eleven - Par Three
A downhill hole with a well protected green featuring two very large bunkers on the right and left.Hole Twelve - Par Four
Playing downhill with lots of trouble off to the left of the tee, including a stream and trees. The tee is at least 100 feet above the landing area with a slight dog-leg to the left. A very deep bunk is found to the left of the green.Hole Thirteen - Par Four
Along the lake shore, this hole has a semi-blind tee shot over a hill. On the second shot, the right side of the fairway gives you the best angle of the green. The landing area is wide but there are bunkers around the green and to the left.Hole Fourteen - Par Five
Playing uphill toward the clubhouse, this is the longest hole at Old Kinderhook. Water is found along the entire left side but plenty of room along the landing area to the right. Two bunkers protect the second landing area and the small green has more bunkers to the left and right.Hole Fifteen - Par Four
This hole features water along the entire length of the hole and crosses about 300 yards out. The green is well protected with bunkers along both sides.Hole Sixteen - Par Three
A long par three. A deep bunker and pond wait along the right side of this split level green.Hole Seventeen - Par Four
A slight dog-leg to the right with bunkers right and left of the landing area. The second shot plays uphill to a semi-blind green, protected in front by a large, deep bunker.Hole Eighteen - Par Five
The most dramatic and memorable hole on the course. Big trees and a lake to the left and a deep bunker on the right side of the landing area. The lake is not a factor in most tee shots but will be for the second and third shots. The green is surrounded by water and bunkers making it a difficult and marvelous way to end play. Now that you've gotten the inside scoop about each hole's layout, you're ready to sling your bag on a cart and hit the course!
