About Our Golf Academy
Old Kinderhook is hosting Golf Academy with Scott Bess. This
is a great opportunity to learn tips from a professional golfer that can help
improve your game immensely. The Golf Academy is a four day golf camp, which
includes the course, cart, driving range, breakfast and lunch. For those
of you who wish to stay the night, we will have rooms available for you in our
newest addition to the property, The Lodge. We are also offering a commuter
rate for those who live closer to Old Kinderhook and do not wish to stay on
site. There will be a reception at the conclusion of the Golf Academy as well.
About The Course
Old Kinderhook is an award winning golf course in Camdenton, MO. This Tom
Weiskopf signature course offers spectacular views from every hole. Our two
practice greens and driving range will be available to use for members of the
Golf Academy, as well as the course. With 18 beautiful holes featuring zoysia
tees and fairways with large bent-grass greens, Old Kinderhook is a memorable course
to play and a great location to learn more about the game of golf.
About The Instructor
We are pleased to have Scott Bess as our instructor for the
Golf Academy. He qualified for 2 US Amateurs, 5 PGA Championships, 2 Senior US
Opens, and 4 Senior PGA Championships. Adding to his resume, he was also named
the Gateway PGA Senior Player of the Year 3 times. In addition, Bess was the
2011 champion of the Missouri Open Senior. With his vast experience with the
game of golf, Bess can offer great tips and tricks to help improve the game of
our Golf Academy attendees.
