Old Kinderhook is Looking Forward to a GREAT 2015!
As we wrap up 2014 and press on into the New Year, Old Kinderhook has a lot to celebrate! Not only have we had a great season with many new changes last year, we are anticipating more excitement in 2015! Let's take a look at what 2014 brought for Old Kinderhook and just a small bit of what you can expect to see at Old Kinderhook in 2015!
Old Kinderhook had an amazing year with all types of changes and events. Blessed with great weather, the golf course had record numbers and course condition was pristine throughout the year. The Tom Weiskopf designed championship golf course at the Lake of the Ozarks was nationally recognized as one of the top 5 courses to play in Missouri. The Trophy Room has proven to be one of the Lake's favorite dining establishments with an award winning menu and 5 star service. Events at Old Kinderhook grew in numbers as more couples decided that the amazing backdrop was perfect for taking their vows. The attendance grew dramatically for special events at Old Kinderhook with record crowds attending Fourth of July funfest, Chef Biggs' monthly "Cooking with Class," corporate outings and holiday parties.
Construction of the Lodge at Old Kinderhook was in high gear as the new 84 room Lodge and 250 person conference facility rose up from the ground. The ever changing landscape included the relocation of the #15 tee boxes to allow room for the new outdoor pool, Cabana and the much anticipated Ice Rink. The Ice at Old Kinderhook opened December 5, 2014 and has been a much needed addition to the Lake area as well as a new amenity to the guests staying at Old Kinderhook.
The Lodge at Old Kinderhook will open its doors to offer the Lake of the Ozarks visitors a first class lodging facility, featuring 84 well-appointed hotel rooms, a conference facility capable of accommodating groups of 250, a beautiful, spacious Hearth Room which can accommodate large groups & social functions, Starbucks coffee, a full bar, indoor pool & a workout facility. The lodging guests will also have access to our new outdoor pool and Cabana facility in the Summer season. The Ice at Old Kinderhook will remain open through mid-April (weather permitting) and continue to give locals and guests a family-friendly activity. Once Spring arrives, The Ice will transform into The Sand at Old Kinderhook offering guests two full size sand volleyball courts as just another amenity at Old Kinderhook.
Golf Season is just around the corner and everyone from the Superintendent to our Head Golf Professional are getting ready for 2015. Tournaments are starting to book, so if you are thinking about having a Lake of the Ozarks golf outing, be sure to contact the Golf Shop for more information. Chef Biggs and the entire staff at The Trophy Room will continue to feature award winning food and service that locals and guest have come to expect. Once again, the menu will feature items that are grown on site in our Kinderhook Sustainable Garden promoting the use of fresh ingredients. The Spa at Old Kinderhook has been recently relocated and is in the process of a face-lift and expansion. The Spa will offer world class amenities and services this upcoming season, so stay tuned for it's unveiling.
